- the amount of data transferred to the user
- the access status (file transmitted, file not found etc.)
- a description of the type of web browser used
- the client’s IP address
To ensure safe transmission of your data, we use state-of-the-art encryption procedures (e.g. SSL) via HTTPS. Your IP address will be stored as long as necessary for operational safety reasons.
Cookies and analysis
This web site uses Google Analytics,a web analytic service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files stored on your computer that enable the analysis of how the website is being used. In view of the discussion on the use of analytic tools with complete IP addresses we would like to point out that this website uses Google Analytics with the “_anonymizeIp()” function and IP addresses will therefore only be processed in a shortened form to prevent persons from being identified. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on a server in the United States. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activities for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.
If you choose not to share any information about the visit of the website with Google Analytics, you can download a Browser Add-on for the browser you are using from the following page for deactivating Google Analytics: (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de). Please note that if you do so, you may not be able to use the full functionality of our website.
You may at any time object in writing to the collection and storage of your data with future effect.
Google Maps Plugin
On our website we use a plugin from the internet service Google Maps (Google Inc.). By your using Google Maps on our website, information about the use of this website and your IP address will be transmitted to a Google server in the United States and will also be stored on this server. We are not aware of the precise content of the transmitted data nor do we know how they will be used by Google. According to Google Inc., the transmitted data will not be connected with information received from other Google services nor will personal data be collected.
Voluntary entry of personal data
If you provide personal or corporate data on our website, such provision is definitely optional except for data as needed by us for handling your inquiry such as title, subject of the inquiry, first name, family name, and e-mail address.
Use of your personal data
The stored data that you provide will be evaluated only for processing your request and statistical purposes. We may transfer your data to third parties where required to do so for the sole purpose of processing your request. In these cases the transfer of data is restricted to the absolute minimum required.
Security of your personal data
Technical and organisational precautions have been implemented to protect your information held by us against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or unauthorised access. Any personal information will be held and processed in accordance with the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and Telemedia Act (TMG).
How to update your personal data?
At your request, we will provide you any time and free of charge with details of the nature and extent of the data stored with a personal reference to yourself. In addition, you are entitled as provided by law to have personal data transmitted, corrected, blocked or deleted. You are also entitled to file complaint with a supervisory authority. Kindly use the contact form to inform us accordingly.
You may at any time cancel in writing your consent to the collection and storage of data with effect from the time of your notice.
How we process applicants’ data
We welcome applications at any time, e.g. by e-mail, in the post or via our online application form. Here we explain how we use the data we collect from you in the course of your application, the scope of our processing and the purposes for which we use your data. We ensure that your data will be collected, processed and used in accordance with data protection legislation and all other applicable legal provisions, and that your data will be treated in strict confidence at all times.
Scope and purpose of data collection
When you send us your application, we process the personal data associated with it (e.g. contact and communication details, the application documents themselves, notes taken during interviews etc.) to the extent that this is required in order to justify the decision whether or not to hire you. The legal basis for this is Section 26 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG-new – initiation of employment), Art. 6(1) point (b) of the GDPR (general contract initiation), and – if you have given us your consent – Art. 6(1) point (a) of the GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Within our company, we will only pass on your personal data to people who are involved with processing your application.
If your application is successful, the data you have provided will be stored in our data processing systems on the basis of Section 26 of the BDSG-new and Art. 6(1) point (b) of the GDPR for the purposes of carrying out the employment contract.
Data retention period
If we are unable to offer you a job, you reject our job offer or you withdraw your application, we reserve the right to retain the data you have sent us on the basis of our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1) point (f) of the GDPR) for up to 6 months after the conclusion of the application process (rejection or withdrawal of the application). The data will then be deleted and the physical application documents will be destroyed or returned to you. One particular reason we store the data is for evidence purposes in case a legal dispute arises. If it becomes clear that the data will continue to be required after the 6-month retention period has elapsed (e.g. an imminent or pending legal dispute), the data will only be deleted once the purpose for continuing to store them no longer applies.
Data can also be retained for a longer period if you give us consent to do so (Art. 6(1) point (a) of the GDPR), or if legal retention obligations require us to retain the data.
