MVR vertical roller mill for grinding cement raw material
Another order for the delivery of an MVR vertical roller mill to Iraq
Gebr. Pfeiffer has received an order to supply a vertical roller mill for the Al Amir cement plant in Najaf, Iraq. The mill of the type MVR 5000 R-4 equipped with a classifier of the type SLS 4500 VR will be used for grinding cement raw material.
The raw mill will grind 500 t/h of cement raw material to a fineness of 10 % R to 0.090 mm. The material is dried in the mill from a feed moisture content of approx. 12 % to a residual moisture of < 0.5 %. 4,400 kW are installed on the mill drive.
The contract was awarded through the Chinese general contractor Sinoma Suzhou.
The MVR mill is expected to be put into service in the second half of 2026.
