MPS vertical roller mill for quicklime grinding

NIRMA Ltd, a manufacturer of soap, detergents and dishwasher tabs for the consumer sector and of primary products for the industry, has a chemical factory installed at Bhavnagar (Gujarat), producing soda.
The quicklime to be used at this factory is produced in the company’s own kilns and ground in an MPS 180 B Pfeiffer vertical roller to the fineness required to the suit the process. The MPS mill, increasing the existing grinding capacity of the factory, competed successfully against ring roll mills that the company already has in operation there.
The Pfeiffer mill is designed to produce 35 tph of quicklime at a fineness of 10 % R 150 µm and will come equipped with a 200-kW gearbox. MPS mills have been used successfully for a great many years in works of the chemical, gypsum and lime industry where limestone, quicklime or gypsum are ground.
