Gebr. Pfeiffer Panel 2018 I Gurugram, India I 23 and 24 November 2018

Customer event in India, one of Pfeiffer’s strongest markets, sparks considerable interest

On 23 and 24 November Gebr. Pfeiffer hosted an expert panel for Indian cement industry leaders.

After 2015 in Jaipur and a number of similar events in other countries, Gebr. Pfeiffer invited the guests from the Indian cement industry to the ITC Grand Bharat hotel in Gurugram, near New Delhi.

In addition to short specialist talks, the two-day event was an opportunity for knowledge transfer between mineral processing specialist Gebr. Pfeiffer and leading figures from various cement companies in India, and these experts also took the chance to discuss their experiences in a series of animated discussions.

The first day included exciting updates on optimizing grinding processes and a presentation and discussion of after sales service strategies and other industrial sectors. This is because Gebr. Pfeiffer does not just operate in the cement sector; it also supplies machines and systems to other sectors which intersect with cement production in interesting and beneficial ways.

The opportunities created by state-of-the-art 3D system design, including ultra-modern scanners to analyse the existing situation, embedding the 3D data obtained and 3D design/visualization, were an impressive demonstration of Gebr. Pfeiffer’s pioneering role, particularly in planning expansion of brownfield developments. Gebr. Pfeiffer also has plenty of practical experience in virtual reality using these tools and the associated expertise.

The thought-provoking afternoon session was followed by a ritual aarti ceremony in the Yamuna river with a priest, where candles were lit and floated down the water as tribute offerings, and the first day concluded with an open-air gala dinner in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere.

The main item on the agenda for day two was a stimulating talk given by an enthusiastic Pfeiffer customer, who shared his positive experiences with the numerous Pfeiffer mills in operation at his business.

Candles were lit and floated down the water in a ceremony held on the steps of the hotel.

In his closing speech, Gebr. Pfeiffer CEO Mathias Dülfer acknowledged the enthusiastic participation from attendees in the exchanges of ideas and their positive response to the event hosted by Gebr. Pfeiffer (India) Pvt. Ltd., and he made clear that this would form the basis for future Pfeiffer events.
