Pfeiffer experts meeting with clients again – this time in Turkey

Gebr. Pfeiffer SE held a technical seminar in Antalya/Turkey on April 17 and 18. Rainer Krüper, Director – After Sales Service at Pfeiffer, could welcome almost 50 participants who were given the opportunity to profit from the Pfeiffer experts’ experiences and to use them for the Pfeiffer mills in operation at their works. The focus of the seminar was laid on maintenance and troubleshooting.

In addition to interesting news on grinding process optimization presented by Dr. Caroline Woywadt (Pfeiffer Director – Process Technology), the Turkish customers received information on Pfeiffer representatives locally available. It is in fact part of Pfeiffer’s service policy to maintain relations not only from its headquarters in Kaiserslautern/Germany, but also through numerous partners worldwide with seats in the proximity of the customers.

Maintenance and troubleshooting was the topic presented by Axel Auerbach (Head of Installation and Commissioning) who described, among others, the maintenance friendliness of the MPS and MVR mills. Such information could easily be linked by the participants to the issues occurring in their everyday work. The knowledge they gained will definitely be useful for the maintenance staff that will be able to work with the Pfeiffer mills even more efficiently.

After these three presentations, the participants formed various small groups where they could raise and discuss individual questions concerning mechanics, process, modernization, and spare parts. There was a lively discussion within the groups, with an exchange of useful information. The participating plant owners, some of whom have been operating Pfeiffer vertical mills for decades already, seized the opportunity to discuss their issues with the experienced Pfeiffer specialists. 

The first day of the seminar was rounded off with a festive gala dinner.

On the second day, Pfeiffer’s partner companies Hydac and KIMA had the opportunity of presenting service topics relating to their equipment.

This Pfeiffer seminar was another resounding success. The Turkish customers used the occasion for intensive discussions. To Pfeiffer such dialogs are of special importance, too, because this direct communication with the customers helps us to even better understand their needs. In fact, this is where we start from in our ongoing endeavor to find optimum solutions both in terms of products and services for our customers all over the world.
